As an extremely environmentally concerned golf course superintendent, I am constantly looking for environmentally sensitive alternatives to pesticide and fertilizer products.  In the coming years, state and local agencies are going to put additional pressures on turf-grass professionals to find organic solutions to our pesticide and fertilizer needs.  About a year ago I was fortunate enough to begin trials an exciting new organic fertilizer from Eco Organics, Inc. BioSof Plus 14-0-0, has since been incorporated into my green and tee fertilization program, and the results have been very impressive!  The material is very convenient to use, and the benefits are noticeable almost immediately. The best part is that I am confident that this product is far safer from an environmental standpoint than any other fertilizer product on the market, and at 14% nitrogen, I use far less material than with typical organic fertilizers.  In the future I plan to increase usage on greens and tees, and incorporate its use into my fairway fertilization program.  I would be happy to discuss the benefits of BioSof Plus in greater detail, and can be reached at (413)648-9685

We have used EgoOrganics, Inc.'s 14-0-0 BioSOF Plus sprayable organic fertilizer on all greens at StoneTree Golf Club and have been very pleased with the results we have seen of this product.  The market in California for a product such as this is very high considering the high organic Nitrogen content and the ease with which it can be applied.  We have observed that the 14-0-0 BioSOF Plus has been safe to use on all areas of the golf course.  This is a unique fertilizer for this areas and we are planning on continuing to apply this product not only to greens, but also to tees and fairways as well.  Please do not hesitate to contact me if I can be of any assistance.

The idea of spoon feeding my greens with a flowable, 100% natural organic fertilizer is exciting.  The added benefit of increased soil microbial activity is a real plus and should reduce my dependence on expensive biostimulants that produce mixed results at best.  We began using BioSOF Plus in early May soon after aerating our greens and have been applying every ten days since.  The response so far as been excellent, resulting in moderate growth with good color.  It is now the 3rd week of June.  My tees and fairways are becoming infected with dollar spot, but the greens remain spotless.  We made a single fungicide application to them prior to aeration, but nothing since.
At a time when golf courses are under increasing scrutiny regarding fertilizer and chemical use practices, it only makes sense to embrace products that are environmentally safe with the potential to further decrease chemical usage. BioSOF Plus has the potential to help Superintendents change the way they manage turf.

East Mountain Country Club has been using organic fertilizer for over ten years. We are directly over one of the largest aquifers in Mass., so sprayable organic fertilizer is just what the doctor ordered!  Weekly applications of BioSOF have proved to be excellent - the same steady growth, rich dark green-blue color - good root growth - tremendous biological soil activity and rejuvenation of the soil.  Most organic fertilizers need a tremendous amount of water to wash it in, and you still mow up some of your product.  BioSOF only needs to be watered a maximum of twenty minutes for best results.  Of all the numerous organic fertilizers we have used in the past ten years. BioSof is by far the best product on the market today.  We take the environment serious, and have earned a Greens Business Award from the Water Dept. of the City of Westfield, and in 1997 * 1998 we applied and were regional winners of the Environmental Steward Award, through the GCSAA.

Traditionally, I have used urea and Triple 12 on my grass.  Applications of these have been made in March, May and October.  This year, after a March application of urea, I followed up with a Memorial Day weekend application of SoylGreen.  The SolyGreen did maintain a nice green lawn.  However, the more interesting aspect was that the yard seemed more drought tolerant.  From mid July through August, the rains in North Eastern Indiana were sparse.  Lawn cutting went from twice a week to once every seven to ten days.
Although, my immediate neighbors (each side of me) moved to watering their yards, I refrained and actually did not supplement rain fall throughout the summer.  Although my yard was obviously moving toward dormant without water, it never did completely dry and brown.  The grass retained some green.  When early September arrived, with rain following Labor Day, my grass immediately responded.  Actually, the grass sprang back into growing mode much quicker than I anticipated based upon past experiences.  In fact, I wish I had gotten a picture to show the contrast between my yard and my two neighbors, both of which subscribe with lawn care services.  In spite of their 'professional' yard attention and the summer water, my yard more quickly responded to the rain, growing and greening faster than theirs.  ( I have not applied any fertilizer, since SoylGreen in May. ) Here we are a month later.  My yard is now lush and green, more like Spring than Fall.  I am back to twice a week cutting.
